Juanita Joseph, acting Executive Director of the NYC Chapter of Foster Care Unplugged, brings over 20 years of experience in the New York court system. Her deep understanding of legal and social structures aids her advocacy for foster youth. As a former foster parent, she offers a personal perspective on youth needs, shaping FCUP's programs to provide both therapeutic and practical support. An accomplished singer, musician, and actor, Juanita uses her artistic talents in FCUP’s stage play program to help youth heal through performance. Her performing arts background includes international tours and participation in the NYC All City High School Marching Band. As she steps into her Executive Director role, Juanita is dedicated to expanding FCUP’s mission and ensuring foster youth access transformative programs. Her leadership is key to FCUP’s future, empowering young people through creative expression. Juanita values her roles as a mother, activist, animal lover, and advocate as much as her professional achievements.
